Thenmala Eco Friendly Hormuz Nest - Hotel in Thenmala

I would like to offer some suggestions for the management to enhance the guest experience. While the location, food, and ambiance are excellent, there are a few areas where improvements could be made. Firstly, the bathrooms could benefit from being equipped with water heaters for added comfort. Additionally, there are no water heaters in the rooms for making tea or coffee, and no welcome drinks are provided, which could be a nice touch for guests upon arrival. While the snacks and dinners are decent, the food tends to be quite spicy, which may not be suitable for children or guests who prefer milder, traditional Kerala dishes. A more varied and balanced menu might appeal to a wider audience. Another area for improvement is the reception, which is often unstaffed, making it difficult for guests to reach out for assistance. It would be helpful if there were more accessible ways to contact staff or if there was someone available at the reception at all times. These enhancements could significantly improve the overall guest experience and ensure greater satisfaction.

Stayed in single cottage in Thenmala ecofriendly Hormuz nest on 24th and 25th of November 2024. The stay was really pleasant. We would rate 5 stars for the stay Location -------------- Although it is called Thenmala ecofriendly Hormuz nest, the location is actually closer to the Palaruvi waterfalls, about 10 km away from Thenmala. While cars can easily access the spot, larger vehicles may find it somewhat difficult to navigate. Property -------------- The property features around 11 cottages, including some double cottages with two rooms and separate bathrooms, as well as single cottages. There is also a dormitory option for group gatherings. Located in a serene area, the property offers a peaceful atmosphere, with a small stream flowing nearby, enhancing the tranquility and scenic views. Ample parking space is available, and a convenient perk is that guests can park their vehicles right next to their cottages, eliminating the need to carry their belongings back and forth. The view from the room was also very good. Climate ------------- The temperature in November is moderate, and the regular breeze ensures that the heat is not felt. Best time to visit this place is from September to January. Distance to nearby attractions ------------------------------------------------ The property is situated approximately 10 km from the Thenmala Ecotourism spot, 2 km from the entrance to Palaruvi waterfalls, 15 km from Rosemala, and 25 km from Coutralam waterfalls. Service ------------ The best part of the resort is its excellent service. We had a wonderful stay thanks to the staff. Special thanks to Mansoor and Ashokan for the valuable information and outstanding service they provided. Food -------- The food is prepared according to our orders. The staff was very welcoming when taking our lunch order before arrival via phone call, and the food was ready on time when we reached the property. Dinner was also available based on our preferences. Breakfast, which was included in the package, featured Idiyappam and Appam. However, in-room amenities like electric kettle and tea boxes are not available, so we had to request morning coffee. Overall, the food quality was excellent. Facilities available ------------------------------- Campfire facilities are available upon request, with a charge of approximately 1800 Rs. They also arrange jeeps for hikes to Rosemala. There is also a small sized pool present in the property

Thanks to Hormuz Nest resort team for their excellent service, good food, neat and clean staying rooms and all other help to make our trip more planned. We have spent our time with lot of fun and enjoyment. Hope next year we do have more fun. Thanks again to the wonderful team.

Best resort to spend time with family with incredible view of nature well hygienic maintained and they serve multiple cuisines tasty enough and Hospitality was superior Hope we visit again & I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a great place to stay at thenmala
